A binding agent that’s a synthetic base oil with a very rich, smooth feel. It’s what’s called a ‘polyol’ aka sugar alcohol, that is neither a sugar nor an alcohol. Polyols are non-irritating, sometimes used in place of glycerin in toothpaste, for example.
