A note about jar packaging
Some ingredients (especially used in anti-aging/treatment skincare) are unstable and lose efficacy when exposed to light and air. When you open a jar of skincare, you’ve basically started the clock on the ingredients breaking down. There is also the issue of hygiene; dipping your fingers into a jar transfers bacteria from your hands into the product, and that causes the important ingredients to further deteriorate and the preservative system to work harder. Some people use disposable spatulas and others decant the product into an airless pump container. There are many pretty ones you can buy cheaply from here.
