Membrane containing barrier creams are increasingly used in corneotherapeutic and dermatological treatments against barrier and cornification disorders. Active agents are, among others, amides like palmitamide MEA, stearamide MEA, urea and allantoin. These substances have antipruritic and some of them also anti-inflammatory effects. Palmitamide MEA can be naturally found in the epidermis.

15. zinc gluconate. Proven to treat inflammatory acne; also preventative. Reduces the production of Squalane, a component of human sebum.
16. sunflower oil ( helianthus annuus ) Occlusive, emollient skin-friendly oil; can improve skin healing, due to linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. Moisturizing, especially for dry skin & reduces inflammation & repairs skin's barrier. Combined with PEG- esters it's an emulsifier.

29. solvents ( aqua ) solvent
30. carbomer. Carbomer is used in skincare and cosmetics as a/an emulsion stabilizing, gelling, viscosity controlling ingredient.
