Flavoring Agent; Humectant; SKIN CONDITIONING; SOOTHING
Some sugars in cosmetic ingredients can be used as a binder, masking agent, moisturizing agent, flavoring agent (in lip balms, etc.) and skin conditioner. Sugars in skincare help to normalize desquamation, improves skin’s micro relief and enhances overall barrier function of the skin. They are often used as a preservative in beauty formulas as a substitute for glycerin. Sucrose is a demulcent and antioxidant.
